The Pack

How to imitate the experience of manufactured products to acquire more customers?

How do you rebrand a fast-growing Digital Agency? That is the question The Pack asked me during my internship. They wanted a new branding and website that had a unique style and contained unique case studies. At the same time, the website had to engage with potential customers by answering the frequently asked questions customers may have before working with The Pack. To do this, they asked me to mimic the Blast Galaxy experience as if you were using the product.

The problem

The old website of The Pack was outdated and did not represent The Pack as a digital agency. An already new branding had to be used on the new website to appeal to customers through the website and to persuade them to convert. The case studies had prove to customers that The Pack is the right party for them.

Design Challenge

“How can we design case studies in a way that user feel the actual experience of the product, to persuade customers to hire The Pack as a design agency?”

The concept

The concept of the case studies is that you dive into the case study from The Pack. It's like entering a totally new dimension. In this way we try to let potential clients experience what The Pack can do and what a digital experience can look like.

Blast Galaxy case study

From The Pack to galaxy

The Blast Galaxy website is a literal translation of a physical experience into a digital experience. You step into an arcade machine, just like you do at Blast Galaxy. I have featured this experience on the Blast Galaxy case study page. At the beginning of the page, you as a user notice that you are on The Pack website. As soon as you scroll down to "travel to the blast galaxy". In the Blast Galaxy, the concept of the Blast Galaxy is explained and visualized.

Blast Galaxy case study

From Galaxy to arcade

After the "journey of discovery" through the Blast Galaxy, you step into the arcade machine, as it were. An old gaming machine with 8-bit pixels, bright colors, often characterized by a screen with a thick black border and rounded corners. By imitating this screen you get the feeling that you are really playing an arcade game. As soon as you enter the arcade, all elements are recreated by making use of “scanlines” as in a real arcade machine.

The final product

Besides the Blast Galaxy case study I also worked on the homepage and some responsive elements. View the end result here:
